N ov 1 99 4 Properties of an equilibrium hadron gas subjected to the adiabatic longitudinal expansion ∗

چکیده

We consider an ideal gas of massive hadrons in thermal and chemical equilibrium. The gas expands longitudinally in an adiabatic way. This evolution for a baryonless gas reduces to a hydrodynamic expansion. Cooling process is parametrized by the sound velocity. The sound velocity is temperature dependent and is strongly influenced by hadron mass spectrum. ∗Work partially supported by the Polish Committee for Scientific Research under contract KBN-200579101

We consider an ideal gas of massive hadrons in thermal and chemical equilibrium. The gas expands longitudinally in accordance with Bjorken law. Strangeness and baryon number conservation is taken into account. This gas has different features as compared to the pion gas. Let us consider a heavy ion collision which goes through the intermediate state of an hadronic matter being in the thermal and...

We study the Casimir effect with different temperatures between the plates (T) resp. outside of them (T ′). If we consider the inner system as the black body radiation for a special geometry, then contrary to common belief the temperature approaches a constant value for vanishing volume during isentropic processes. This means: the reduction of the degrees of freedom can not be compensated by a ...

Modifications of hadron masses and some of their basic properties with temperature or nuclear density are considered as one possible signatures for the formation of dense hadronic matter in nuclear collisions. We discuss here some basic results on the temperature dependence of hadron properties obtained from calculations of hadron correlation functions, the chiral condensate as well as the equa...

We explore the inelastic production of multiple longitudinal weak bosons as a manifestation of a strongly interacting symmetry breaking sector. By analogy with QCD, final states with large multiplicities are expected to occur not far above the energy scale of the lowest resonances of the underlying strong theory. We consider the feasibility of observing such phenomena in the environment of a ve...

The Constituent Quark Model has provided a remarkable description of the experimentally observed hadron spectrum but still has no firm theoretical basis. Attempts to provide a QCD justification discussed at Hadron99 include QCD Sum Rules, instantons, relativistic potential models and the lattice. Phenomenological analyses to clarify outstanding problems like the nature of the scalar and pseudos...
